SOLIDS DEWATERING

Picture
Biosolids dewatering operations have a huge impact on the plant.  WE have the technology and the capability to help you select and support your operations.  WE can help determine the most appropriate technology.  WE can do polymer testing, selection and sales.  WE can supply pumps, polymer systems, and conveyors to go along with your systems and WE know how to integrate it all.  Whether you are looking to retrofit, replace or expand WE have systems to meet your needs.  Belt press, rotary press, or screw press, WE can help you select the most appropriate technology for your system.

Prime Solution has revolutionized dewatering in Virginia with their Rotary Fan Press.  Their rotary fan press is a near zero maintenance unit with very little supervision required.  The compact, slow moving, quiet design of the Prime Rotary Fan Press® integrates easily into any facility, requiring no structural building modifications. Continuous dewatering within enclosed vertical dewatering channels makes it the dewatering system with the highest throughput per area of floor space required. Whether you chose their free-standing system, a skid mounted system or mobile dewatering system; Prime’s Rotary Fan Press is the simplest technology for dewatering performance.
Heres how the Rotary Fan Press Works:

When biosolids enter the system, pressure increases as waste moves slowly through a tapered channel. Friction intensifies as the biosolids compress against two rotating filter screens. Filtrate takes the path of least resistance and drains through the screens.

The dryness of the resulting biosolid cakes varies per application, but averages between 18–24 percent, with some applications achieving as high as 60 percent. In other words: Friction and pressure work together to create high percentage cake solids.
